There is not a lot of large wave action and there are no rocks on our beach, so it makes it perfect for small children and swimming. It's also great for sailboarding-- we have assorted snorkels and fins. For the times when the surf does get into our little bay, we have 5 boogie boards in the house and a soft surfboard.
